Eurolink Software: Told & Sold™

Eurolink founding director Nigel Poole said the primary benefit of Told & Sold™ for agencies was that it offered Veco™ users revenue-generating possibilities from every contact inquiry, for example through mortgages, removals, utilities and insurance.

"Eurolink developed Told & Sold™ because we recognised that in the current economic climate estate agents can and must generate income other than through the traditional routes of sales and letting of property," Nigel said.

"Agents need to take advantage of all these ‘up-sell’ opportunities and Told & Sold™ helps them achieve this. This could allow agencies to generate thousands of pounds of additional income. With so many agents now working within tight margins, Told & Sold™ could make all the difference in keeping some from going under in these difficult market conditions."

One single software system for property businesses

Told & Sold™ is the latest product development from Eurolink since it launched its Veco™ range of property sales and lettings solutions at PCS Expo in October 2007.

Veco-lettingsandmanagement™ is a direct replacement for Eurolink Management, its leading lettings and management product and is available for users with purely lettings requirements. Veco-estatemanagement™ is a powerful and flexible software program designed specifically for a property company involved in the management of residential blocks of flats (or office blocks) on behalf of a freeholder. Veco-residentialsales™ and Veco-auctions™ provide highly-effective residential sales and auctions solutions.

Eurolink’s flagship product is the Veco-onesystem™ which covers residential sales, letting, estate management and auctions in one single complete solution. The Veco-onesystem™ is the first and only CRM package to collate details of all an agency’s clients and contacts into a single database record, irrespective of whether they are buyers, sellers, landlords or tenants. Over the past six months Eurolink has won 15 new clients and migrated 19 existing ones, with the remainder to move across at a convenient point in their financial year.

"The logic behind Veco™ was that we could develop one single system for property businesses," said Nigel Poole. "Consolidating their systems is a major benefit for Veco™ users – not least because they can make the most of developments such as Told & Sold™."

Eurolink developed the auction element of Veco™alongside the Edward Mellor group and then focused on further enhancing Veco™’s residential aspect.

Three specific areas have been developed: Sales Progression, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Told & Sold™. As part of its Sales Progression strategy, Eurolink has developed a Progression Matrix which allows users to visualise the progress of a sale at any given time in terms of key dates – such as mortgage valuation instruction. Users can modify these with expected dates.

"Eurolink started in 1990 and we have grown stronger through our policy of continuous product development," Nigel Poole said. "Through Told & Sold™ we are once again giving Veco™users an advantage over their competitors – and this in turn helps give us an advantage over ours."

How Told & Sold™ works:

  • Eurolink’s Veco™ database is a CRM tool made up of contact record details. Told & Sold™ is ideal for both sales and letting contacts. If Told & Sold™ is activated by a Veco™ user then each time they open a record for a contact – such as a property owner, landlord, tenant or applicant – a window prompt will appear in a pop-up box on the user’s computer screen. This pop-up box contains crucial information relating to any new "up-sell" opportunities available to that specific contact, in addition to ones offered previously.
  •
  • The user can then develop these revenue-generating possibilities with the contact. Should the contact be interested in pursuing these, the user can then refer them to the relevant third party or internal department. The business can also report statistically within Veco™ on "up-sell" opportunities offered to contacts and measure take up and referral rates – in addition to referral outcomes.
  •
  • Told & Sold™ is available as a FREE update to existing Veco™ users from 2 June 2008.
  • Told & Sold™ forms part of a Veco™ licence when any Veco™ product is purchased.
  • Veco™contracts start from £1595 for a master licence, with a recommended retail price of £695 per concurrent user licence.
