Zoopla Property Group (ZPG) has reported record levels of both website and mobile activity during the period 1 January to 13 January, with new highs seen in the number of visits across its platform.
On Tuesday 13 January the ZPG sites saw a record level of traffic at just under 2m visits in a single day, with traffic for the period up 7.3% over the same period last year.
And in another sign of strong activity in the housing market despite election and interest rate concerns, ZPG is reporting record levels of appraisal leads being sent to local agents via its websites, up an impressive 38% year on year for the same period. In 2014, ZPG delivered appraisal leads worth an estimated £150 million in fees to its members and is set to smash that figure in 2015 based on early indications and enhancements it has made to its product.
Mobile traffic was also up strongly during the first half of January, up 32% compared to the same period last year. ZPG’s brands have recently passed a significant milestone of 5 million app downloads with app traffic up 61% YoY as consumers increasingly use the Group’s services to search and research the property market at work, at home and on the move.
ZPG has also invested in social media in recent months and now has the largest social media presence in the UK property sector, reaching an average of 4.5m people per week via the Zoopla Facebook page alone.
