Neighbourhood housing sustainability pilot launched

Over the next 12 months, the pilot group, which includes eight housing associations, five local authority landlords and one ALMO, will develop a framework, identify neighbourhoods in their stock and conduct audits.

Richard Medley, the project director from CIH consultancy, said: "CIH is delighted to be working with a diverse group of landlords to share their ideas and passion to help develop new approaches to sustainability.

"Landlords from across the UK have signed up to the pilot, which will allow us to look at different approaches to different environments such as city versus rural."

Eight housing associations that are going to be launched is a big count. The pilot project must contain some very interesting schemes for homeowners.
