"They see London as a safe haven both financially and politically, so are keen to invest here. Most buyers are looking in the £3million to £5million price range and want to be in a secure, portered building within walking distance of Harrods, so Knightsbridge and Belgravia particularly appeal."
Lucy Morton, Managing Partner, Residential Lettings, said: "We are also noticing a sharp increase in lettings inquiries from Middle Easterners, many of whom have just arrived in London and are looking to rent with immediate effect, for at least six months. We would not anticipate this level of inquiries coming from this part of the world so early in the year."
