Bob the Builder and Shelter launch fundraising initiative

Whether it’s dressing up like Bob in blue and yellow or building the tallest tower, the possibilities are endless. The most important thing is to get involved because all the money raised will go towards Shelter’s vital work helping homeless and badly-housed children this Christmas.

For those struggling to come up with a great fundraising idea, there is a free fundraising pack available full of great ways to ensure you have a smashing event. As well as containing lots of great fundraising ideas, the pack also includes balloons, stickers, posters, a DVD featuring Bob the Builder episodes, songs and cut-out and colour-in craft activities.

Not only will nurseries taking part make a real difference to thousands of children without a home to call their own this Christmas, but they will also be in with a chance to win a visit from Bob the Builder himself, as well as a bundle of fantastic Bob the Builder toys. Five runners up will get a hamper of Bob goodies.

Campbell Robb, Chief Executive of Shelter, said: "We all know how important home is but never more so than at Christmas time. And yet, thousands of homeless children will face this Christmas in temporary accommodation, while over a million children will spend Christmas in cramped, overcrowded conditions.

"Bob’s Big Project is a brilliant way for young children to have fun and raise money through their nursery for those who really need it. Together we really can fix it so that children don’t have to face Christmas without a home of their own. Don’t delay and order your free fundraising pack today."
