The Seal of Excellence is one of the top honours handed out by the NHBC each year in recognition of outstanding commitment to producing high-quality new homes and to maintaining exceptional standards in every aspect of building
Mike and Jason’s latest triumph comes after they were chosen to receive NHBC Quality Awards, along with fellow Northamptonshire Taylor Wimpey site managers Tim Welton, Craig Hurst and Paul Lord.
A total of 12 Taylor Wimpey East Midlands site managers won Quality Awards in 2009 – a UK record for the highest number secured by any one company in a single year.
Steve Farmer, Regional Managing Director for Taylor Wimpey East Midlands, says: "Everyone in the company is extremely proud of Mike and Jason for their latest achievement, and they deserve our warmest congratulations.
"Winning the Quality Award was an achievement in itself, but to go on to clinch the Seal of Excellence is taking their success to a whole new level.
"Their expertise and dedication to their work reflects our commitment to building the highest quality new homes, and they should rightly be held up as shining examples to others."
Seal of Excellence winners really are the cream of the crop when it comes to delivering outstanding new homes and maintaining the safest and most efficient building sites.
Only 130 site managers are chosen for the prize from 400 Quality Award winners, who in turn are selected from more than 18,000 NHBC-registered housebuilders running sites up and down England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Each site manager undergoes a stringent selection process with independent judges visiting developments at key stages of the construction process to assess them on all aspects of house building.
