On arrival, guests will enjoy a hearty, warming supper dish, served in the tea room, before donning their woollies for a twilight tour of the castle.
As part of this eerie experience, guests will explore the castle grounds, including the haunted half-moon battery, the guard house and the Tudor Kitchen (which is normally not open to the public).
Settling down for the night
The tour finishes in the famous castle keep, where the visitors will be settled for the night, but not before their bravery is tested by a few ghost stories, told by the English Heritage staff. The keep fire will be lit specially for the occasion, to keep guests warm and cosy through the long, dark night.
Greeting the dawn as you wake up in the castle keep will be an experience like no other. Guests can start the new day with a full English breakfast, made from locally sourced ingredients.
