Connells Land & Planning Division has been awarded a multi-million pound land instruction from Capel House Property Trust Limited to manage the sale of land in North-East Daventry, Northamptonshire.

Monksmoor Farm, a 125-acre development opportunity with planning permission approved by the Secretary of State for up to 1,000 new homes including 350 affordable homes, will  come to the market in September 2010.

The site will be a socially and environmentally-sympathetic development in a key economic growth area of the UK. Monksmoor Farm will create numerous jobs for the construction industry as well as important commercial benefits for East Midlands businesses.

Land Director Matthew Oliver says, “This is a significant development opportunity that we believe will appeal strongly to a consortia of house builders and Housing Associations. Not only will it introduce a much-needed boost for first-time buyers and key workers by easing the shortage of private and affordable local housing, it will also create an attractive and sustainable living environment that is well served with open spaces, essential services and transport links.

“This instruction clearly demonstrates that Connells Land and Planning Division has the expertise and experience to satisfy the complex requirements that the UK’s largest landowners demand in today’s challenging market,” Matthew continues.

“The Daventry instruction from Capel House Property Trust Limited is further proof of how we add significant value for our customers at every level of a major land deal – even in the toughest market conditions."
