York estate agent wins at property awards

“Most people start their search for a new property on the Internet, so for any estate agent it’s vital to have a strong online presence. Our website has had a huge impact on our business, and I think that its strength lies in its simplicity.

“The site was designed to be very easy for visitors to navigate but, behind the scenes, it is also incredibly easy for us to manage and update.”

The judges’ decision was unanimous. They praised the website’s presentation as "excellent", going on to say that the site “gives a great impression and is easy to use. It is very well ordered and the hierarchy of information is well thought out”.

Of the marketing campaign, the judges said: “This agent is very creative. The brochures are outstanding. The photographs are excellent and the content beautifully written, informative and full of interesting information.”

Blenkin & Co’s award-winning website was designed by fellow York company and estate agency website designers, Dot Com Imaging. Director David Kirkham said: “It’s great to hear some good news in the property industry, and to see a forward-thinking firm looking beyond the short term and investing in marketing to ensure the business is fit for the future. It’s even better to see their success rewarded.

“Our aim is to keep things simple; both for our clients and for the people visiting their sites. We designed the system Blenkin & Co is using specifically for the property industry. It was developed in close consultation with clients, making sure we understood their business and what they needed their website to do, so we could deliver a system that gave them the best possible support.

“We’re continually evaluating it to make sure it continues to meet clients’ needs. The next phase, which we’re hoping to launch early in the New Year, will reduce administration time still further; letting our clients focus on the important things – selling houses.”
