Countrywide plc, the UK’s largest integrated estate agency and property services group has announced its support for the Homes for Britain campaign.
Driven by a number of leading organisations from across the property industry, including the National Housing Federation, the Chartered Institute for Housing and Crisis, Homes for Britain brings together the entire housing sector for the first time and calls upon Government to place housing at the top of the political agenda.
Alison Platt, Group Chief Executive, Countrywide plc said:
“At Countrywide we believe that everyone deserves the right to a roof over their head. As the largest residential property services group in the UK, we are proud to help more people find their right home than any other organisation in the UK.
“We believe it’s crucial the Government commits the same importance to a home for all. This is why we are joining with our colleagues from across the housing industry to call for any new Government to commit to publishing a long-term plan for housing within one year of coming to office.”
The Homes for Britain campaign will culminate in a housing rally at Westminster Hall in March. The event will see thousands of people coming together in the heart of Westminster for the biggest housing rally in a generation to urge the political parties to back the campaign’s ask before the General Election.
