Barratt axes Stamp Duty on homes up to £250,000

James Poynor, Barratt North Midlands Sales Director said: "When people want to move home, Stamp Duty is an additional cost which can sometimes make the difference between being able to afford it or not.

"So it is good news for the housing market that the Government is extending the exemption period on properties worth up to £175,000.

"However, if you decide to buy a new Barratt home you could effectively pay no Stamp Duty on a home worth up to £250,000, until the end of this year. This is a great incentive for anyone thinking of moving home to save themselves thousands of pounds."
