82% of properties sell at Manchester auction

Mark Tanton, Countrywide Chief Auctioneer said: "There was a huge buzz of activity with two and three bedroom properties in most demand.

"We continue to see an increase in the number of parents buying properties at auction in a bid to help their children to get on the property ladder while a number of buyers were happy to pay comfortably above the guide price as they still see property as a sound investment."

The next event covering properties in Manchester, and the North West will be held on 16 July 2009. To see a current list of properties, request brochures and view the 2009 calendar, click here.

It seems the sellers outnumber the buyers by 10 to 1 but we’ve been able to move a few properties over the last year. We’ve never tried a multi event like you mention although I am considering doing so. Have you received much for publicity with this?
